ADSi would like to welcome St. Joseph County Fire Dispatch to the growing ADSi family. Established in 1982, they are a secondary PSAP responsible for dispatching Fire & EMS for 12 fire departments and 3 ambulance services. Currently they handle about 10,000 calls for service a year and work very closely with the City of South Bend, Indiana who has been an ADSi customer for almost twenty years.

According to Communications Coordinator Nancy Lockhart, " We chose a CAD that was interoperable with the City of South Bend for 2 reasons, 1) So there is a back-up in place if there is ever a critical failure in our 9-1-1 center and 2) So that we can view AVL data, in real time with the City Dispatchers in order to share resources and send the closest appropriate ambulance to someone in need-it's all about providing quality customer service to our responders and our users!"

In the intitial phase, St. Joseph County Fire Dispatch will install CAD, Mapping, Paging and the ADSi interface to their Pro QA Fire and EMS software. In the next phase, MDT & AVL software will be put in place for their Departments to provide for greater interoperability between them and public safety agencies in South Bend.
