Application Data Systems, Inc. (ADSi) was chartered in May 1981 with its primary
business being the development of Computer Application Software for the
Public Safety marketplace. The success of Application Data Systems, Inc.
is because of the people that have been associated with the corporation
over the years. These people used their skills of system design, system
analysis, programming, marketing, and customer relations, as well as long
hours when necessary, to get the job done.
Our start in the Public Safety software market came with the development
of a Computer Assisted Dispatch system for the Memphis Fire Department.
Later, CAD was enhanced to include the Law Enforcement and EMS dispatching.
The CAD is now dispatching Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS vehicles for many
cities and counties across the nation.

Many improvements have been made to the CAD software since the original version
was written in 1983. With each new installation, new ideas are introduced and
enhancements are made. There have been numerous update releases of CAD over the
years and new enhancements are being made constantly.
After completing the first CAD release, we talked with government agencies across
the country to gather ideas for our reporting systems. We attempted to write systems
that were as comprehensive as possible based on the needs and concerns of these agencies.
This was a difficult task considering the varying needs of departments across the
nation. After several years of work, many aspects of governmental reporting are now
covered by an ADSi software module.
There is no off-the-shelf software package that will suit every need that an agency
might have, this is simply not possible. Therefore, the ability to modify and tailor
a package is absolutely essential. If the source code is available to the customer,
then custom modifications can be made to suit those particular needs. This allows customers
to make any needed modifications if they have a programming staff. We are also available
to make changes to the software on a contract basis. In many cities/counties, a data
processing staff is divided between the needs of several departments. Our programming
services are very convenient because of the priority that we place on Public Safety needs.
Application Data Systems is in an era of exciting growth of the Corporation. We are in
the Public Safety market place because we enjoy the association with fine local government
agencies across the country. We are continuing development of software for this environment
and plan to do so long into the future.
